Hamilton is one of the largest townships in the region, and much of it grew in the decades after World War II. It is made up of familiar neighborhoods such as Hamilton Square, Mercerville, Yardville and White Horse, each with streets of capes, ranches, split-levels and colonials. Many of those homes still have the driveways, walks and stoops they were built with, and after this many winters most of that concrete is tired.
Driveways ready for replacement
Cracked, sunken and patched driveways are the most common thing we see in Hamilton. Once the base underneath has washed out or settled, sealing and patching will not hold. We remove the old surface, regrade and compact a new stone base, and pour new concrete or asphalt driveways, or lay pavers if you want a different look. Aprons are built to meet the street cleanly.
Front walks and steps
The path from the driveway to the front door says a lot about a house. Replacing a cracked concrete walk with a paver or bluestone walkway gives a cape or ranch a fresh face. Curved layouts with a contrasting border are popular here. At the door, settled stoops get rebuilt on proper footings in concrete, brick or stone veneer, with railings that meet code.
Patios on suburban lots

Hamilton backyards are usually a comfortable size, enough for a patio with a dining table, a grill area and maybe a fire pit. We build patios on a compacted base and slope them away from the house. If an old concrete slab is already there, we can often remove it and reuse the space for a better designed patio.
Cracks and wet basements
Not every crack means replacement. Crack repair can seal and stabilize slabs and foundation walls that are otherwise sound. If water comes into the basement after storms, we start outside with grading, downspouts and gaps at the foundation before recommending basement waterproofing.
Before you start
- Township permits. Driveways, aprons, steps and retaining walls may need approval from the township. We take care of it.
- Sidewalks. If the public sidewalk is damaged, replacing it with the driveway keeps the look consistent and avoids a second project later.
- Matching neighbors. On blocks with consistent concrete, we can match the finish and joint pattern so new work fits in.
- Spring fills fast. Book your estimate over the winter to get the dates you want.
We also serve Robbinsville, Lawrence Township and East Windsor. See all of Mercer County or our page for neighboring Trenton.
