North Brunswick spans a wide range of housing. Older sections near New Brunswick and Milltown are filled with capes, ranches and split-levels from the decades after World War II, while large areas closer to Route 1 and Route 130 were built later as colonials, townhomes and condominium communities. The terrain is mostly gentle. That variety means we see everything from a full driveway replacement on a 1960s ranch to a small patio behind a townhouse.
Driveways and front walks

On older homes in town, the driveway and front walk are often the original concrete, with cracks, sunken joints and a heaved apron. Replacing them together gives the front of the house a clean, consistent look. We rebuild the base, then pour new concrete or asphalt driveways and walks, or upgrade the walk to stamped concrete or pavers.
Patios for every lot size
Backyards in North Brunswick range from a fenced townhome patio to a full suburban yard. Ideas that fit each:
- Townhomes: a compact paver patio that fills the fenced area, with a small step at the slider
- Postwar homes: a rectangular patio with a walk to the side gate
- Newer colonials: a larger patio with a seating wall or fire pit and a path to the driveway
Our patios and walkways all start with a compacted stone base and edge restraint so the surface stays flat through winter.
Gentle slopes and low walls
Most lots here are close to level, but some yards fall away toward the back or side. A low retaining wall can create a flat patio area and double as seating, while also holding soil away from the house.
Steps and railings
Front steps on older homes often need replacing at the same time as the walk. We build them in concrete, brick or stone veneer with bluestone treads and new railings.
Before work starts
Driveways, aprons and walls generally go through the township, and many communities also need association sign off. We sort out both before scheduling.
We also serve South Brunswick, Milltown and New Brunswick, plus the rest of Middlesex County. Planning a driveway or patio in North Brunswick? Get a free estimate and we will meet you on site.
