Neptune City is a small borough just inland from the beach towns, bordered by Neptune Township and close to Avon-by-the-Sea and Bradley Beach. It is mostly a year-round community of capes, ranches and two story homes from the middle of the twentieth century, set on smaller lots along a regular street grid. The ground is fairly flat and sandy. Homeowners here tend to want straightforward work done well: safe steps, a level walkway and a driveway that is not falling apart, without a lot of extras.
Steps that are safe again
The most common call from Neptune City is for front or side steps. Concrete stoops from the original build often have scaling treads, cracked landings and loose railings. We rebuild concrete steps on a proper footing, with even risers and new railings, and keep the design simple when that is what suits the house.
Driveways and walkways on a budget

Not every cracked slab needs to be torn out. When the base is sound and the slab is still level, concrete repair and resurfacing can restore the surface for less than replacement. When sections have sunk or heaved, we remove them and pour new concrete on compacted stone. A broom finished concrete walkway is hard to beat for value on a small lot.
Small backyards, simple patios
Many backyards here are narrow, and a compact paver patio with a clean border can make them much more usable. We keep the patio below door thresholds, pitch it away from the house and leave enough lawn for kids or a dog.
Where we usually start
- Safety first. Loose railings and uneven steps come before cosmetic work.
- Water second. We check where downspouts and slabs send rain.
- Then appearance. Walkways and patios once the basics are solid.
- Borough approval for steps, aprons or sidewalk work if it applies.
We also serve Neptune Township, Bradley Beach and the rest of Monmouth County.
